The family of late ARISE News anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, has announced her funeral arrangements following her tragic death during a robbery in Abuja on September 29.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the family stated the burial rites will commence on October 12 with a Night of Tributes at the THISDAY Dome in Abuja at 6 p.m.

A Service of Songs will take place on October 15 at Corpus Christi Cathedral, Port Harcourt, while the final burial will be held on October 18 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Agulu, Anambra State, after a Funeral Service at 11 a.m.

Police authorities confirmed progress in the investigation, revealing that 12 suspects have been arrested in connection with the deaths of Maduagwu and a security guard, Barnabas Danlami, at Unique Apartment, Gishiri Village, Katampe District, Abuja.
One suspect confessed to stealing the victims’ white Honda CR-V, while others admitted receiving ₦200,000 each from the proceeds.
Recovered items include a fabricated AK-47 rifle, live ammunition, a locally made pistol, and other weapons. The remaining gang members were later caught during another robbery attempt in Maitama.
Tributes have continued to pour in for Maduagwu, with colleagues and admirers describing her as a brilliant journalist whose promising career was cut short.
