Perhaps convinced of her readiness to be a director, Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, is set to make her directorial debut in a forthcoming political comedy titled “Your Excellency”.
The notable actress and producer of movies such as “Omo Ghetto”, Jenifa among others, made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, writing: “I’m so excited about this project. Can’t wait for you all to see this @moabudu they are not ready yet.”
Featuring her along with other prominent names like Lala Akindoju, Shaffy Bello, Kunle Coker, Ekun Edewor and Alexx Ekubo, “Your Excellency” is billed to be released on December 13 across Nigeria.
Speaking further about the movie, the lawyer-turned thespian stated: “Your Excellency has a great script, excellent cast, and an experienced production team, so I’m looking forward to making the best possible film. It’s great to be working with Aunty Mo again, so soon after the success of “Chief Daddy” and hopefully we can make another hit movie.”
