EKO HOT BLOG reports that his resumption follows the formal inauguration of the newly reconstituted boards of aviation parastatals by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in Abuja.
Addressing stakeholders at the inauguration, Ganduje assured that the new FAAN board under his leadership would focus on advancing the aviation sector and upholding international standards. He emphasised that the appointments were based on competence and the need to reposition the industry for excellence.
“As a board, we will assist you in moving this ministry to the next level. We will study the Act of FAAN to understand our boundaries and avoid conflicts with executive management and the ministry,” Ganduje said.
He acknowledged the common tension between boards and management but pledged to maintain harmony and perform their oversight roles responsibly.
“We will not overshoot our responsibilities, neither will we underperform. Our focus will be on efficient service delivery, which is the primary purpose of FAAN,” he added.
Ganduje also highlighted the growing complexity of the aviation sector due to the increasing number of local and international stakeholders. He stressed that Nigeria, as a leading African nation, must meet global expectations in airport management and service quality.

He concluded by assuring the public that the board would work closely with FAAN management to enhance operations across airports in the country.
