Ekohotblog reports that Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has congratulated Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi on his election as the new chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
Gbajabiamila stated that he was not shocked by the appearance of Pastor Ojelabi, a former member of the House of Representatives and former state commissioner, whom he characterized as a competent House of Representatives ambassador.
This was said in a statement issued on Sunday by Lanre Lasisi, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He stated that the new Lagos APC Chairman has shown devotion, determination, dedication, and commitment to the party’s growth and development, particularly the progressive family, throughout the years.
Pastor Ojelabi’s emergence, according to Gbajabiamila, will bring the APC family in Lagos State to a new level of good leadership.
The Speaker was pleased that Pastor Ojelabi and the other members of the new APC State leadership emerged peacefully and transparently, which he described as one of the hallmarks of the Lagos APC family.
Gbajabiamila tasks Pastor Ojelabi and other newly elected members of the Lagos APC EXCO to swing into action in mobilizing more members into the party, particularly the youth and women who are key to the party’s victory in 2023, as well as sensitization of the public on obtaining their Permanent Voters Card.

He urged them to build a stronger APC family and leave a good legacy behind.
