American actress Michelle Trachtenberg, best known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has died at the age of 39.
Sources confirmed to The Post that Trachtenberg was found by her mother on Wednesday morning at her Manhattan apartment in One Columbus Place, a luxury high-rise near Central Park South.

Reports indicate she had recently undergone a liver transplant and died of natural causes.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) stated that emergency responders were called around 8 a.m. following a 911 report of a woman in cardiac arrest.

Trachtenberg was found “unconscious and unresponsive” and was later pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. Authorities do not suspect foul play, and the city’s medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
In recent months, fans had expressed concern over Trachtenberg’s health after she posted images on Instagram showing significant weight loss.
Some speculated about possible health struggles, though in January, the actress reassured followers that she was “happy and healthy.”

Born on October 11, 1985, in New York City, Trachtenberg’s acting career began at a young age. She gained early fame playing Nona F. Mecklenberg on Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Pete & Pete before landing the lead role in Harriet the Spy (1996).
She later became a household name for her portrayal of Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and appeared in various TV shows and films throughout her career.
