EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 62 year old actress had recently appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to raise ₦30 million for three urgent surgeries after revealing that she could no longer cope with the rising cost of her treatment.
In an emotional video shared on her Instagram page, Nwosu appealed to her fans, family members and colleagues not to abandon her during her difficult period.
Following the actress’s appeal, Governor Otti last week approved financial assistance to support her ongoing medical treatment.
Providing an update on Thursday, July 30, the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as JMartins, disclosed that Otti had fulfilled his promise by making the payment directly to the hospital.
Martins made the disclosure in a statement shared on his X account.
He wrote, “PAYMENT MADE TO THE HOSPITAL.
“Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr our pragmatic leader made good his promise, directing a 25M payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs Ngozi Nwosu is receiving treatment
“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart sir. History will be kind to you.
“Daalu Ri Nne Chioma Ndi Abia’’
The payment is expected to support Nwosu’s ongoing medical care as she continues treatment for her undisclosed health condition.

The actress’s appeal had attracted public attention, with fans and colleagues expressing concern over her health and calling for support to help her access the required medical treatment.
Governor Otti’s intervention brings the amount raised towards her treatment closer to the ₦30 million she had requested for the three surgeries.
