- Hamas fired three rockets at Tel Aviv, with one intercepted and two landing in uninhabited areas.
- Over 590 people, including more than 200 children, have been killed in Gaza since fighting resumed.
- Israeli forces have launched a new ground operation targeting southern Gaza near Rafah and advancing along the Netzarim Corridor.
Hamas has fired three rockets at Tel Aviv, marking its first known response since Israel resumed military operations in Gaza earlier this week.
According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), one of the rockets was intercepted by air defence systems, while the other two landed in uninhabited areas without causing damage or casualties.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that since fighting resumed on Tuesday, at least 591 people, including over 200 children, have been killed in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.
The IDF announced on Thursday that it had launched a new ground operation in Gaza, targeting areas in the south near Rafah and continuing activity in the north and central regions. Troops reportedly “dismantled terrorist infrastructure” and have also begun “targeted ground activities” aimed at establishing a buffer zone to divide northern and southern Gaza.

Col. Avichay Adraee, an IDF spokesperson, confirmed forces had advanced along the Netzarim Corridor, which cuts through central Gaza.
The renewed hostilities come after a ceasefire, which had largely held since January, collapsed. Israel resumed its offensive when ceasefire extension talks stalled, insisting it would escalate military action until all remaining hostages were released.
Government spokesman David Mencer blamed Hamas for the renewed violence, stating the group had rejected all mediated hostage release deals. Israel says Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, with 24 believed to be alive.
