As Muslims commence the sacred month of Ramadan, Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, representing Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has extended his heartfelt greetings to his constituents, urging them to embrace the holy month’s virtues of prayer, forgiveness, and unity.
Ekohotblog reports that in his Ramadan message, Hon. Ogunkelu emphasized the importance of spiritual reflection and reconciliation, calling on the people to set aside conflicts and foster harmonious relationships.
“I implore the general public to take time for prayer and introspection during this holy month. Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink; it is a period to seek forgiveness, reconcile differences, and strengthen our bond as a community,” he stated.

The lawmaker stressed that letting go of anger and resentment is essential for societal progress, as it allows people to focus on the positive aspects of their relationships.
“We can overcome minor disagreements and build a more united society by learning to forgive and embracing peace. Let us use this time to extend kindness and compassion to one another,” he added.
Hon. Ogunkelu also prayed for divine strength for all Muslims observing the fast, asking Almighty Allah to bless them and grant them the grace to complete the month successfully.
“May the All-Powerful Allah grant us the ability to complete this Ramadan with gratitude in our hearts, saying ‘Thank You, Allah.’ May He accept it from us as an act of Ibadah,” he prayed.
