In response to recent tariff increases, MultiChoice Nigeria has unveiled a support package aimed at easing the financial strain on DStv and GOtv subscribers. In a message sent to customers on Monday, the pay-TV provider confirmed that the new subscription rates will take effect from March 1, 2024.

To mitigate the impact of the price adjustment, MultiChoice is offering loyal subscribers a chance to continue paying the old rates for a limited period if they renew their subscriptions before expiry.
Additionally, the company is extending its ongoing Step Up offer, allowing both active and inactive DStv and GOtv users to enjoy an automatic upgrade to a higher package when they renew at a level above their current subscription. This promotion, which began in January, will remain available until March 31.

As part of further relief measures, MultiChoice has also announced an upcoming price reduction for its streaming platform, Showmax. The revised pricing, set to be revealed on February 28, is expected to make live sports, movies, and general entertainment more accessible.
