As a result of the outage, electricity consumers under Ikeja Electric experienced a temporary disruption in power supply.
However, the company later informed its customers that the power cut was due to a “system outage,” noting that it was making efforts to restore supply.

“Please be informed that we experienced a system outage today, March 7, 2025, at about 2 pm, affecting supply within our network.
“Restoration of supply is ongoing in collaboration with our critical stakeholders,” the notice from Ikeja Electric, signed by its management, said.
