Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Celebrates Pioneer Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Adio Akintola, on His Birthday

The people of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) rolled out the drums in celebration of a political trailblazer and revered community leader, Alhaji Ganiyu Adio Akintola, as he marked his birthday amidst accolades and heartfelt tributes from leaders, residents, friends, and associates.
Ekohotblog reports that Alhaji Akintola, who served as the first Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and now leads the Ikosi-Ejinrin Leaders’ Forum, was honored for his unwavering dedication to community development and selfless leadership over the years.

Speaking on behalf of the people, the current Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, described Alhaji Akintola as “a symbol of exemplary leadership and an embodiment of statesmanship,” noting that his pioneering efforts laid the foundation for progress in the LCDA.
“In Alhaji Ganiyu Adio Akintola, we see the virtues of humility, service, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of our people. His tenure as the first Executive Chairman remains a blueprint for good governance. Today, we not only celebrate his birthday, but also his legacy,” Hon. Anomo stated.
The atmosphere was filled with appreciation and nostalgia as members of the Ikosi-Ejinrin Leaders’ Forum and community stakeholders reflected on Alhaji Akintola’s impact. Many acknowledged that his commitment to the collective good and ability to unite people across divides have made him a pillar of the community.
Chief Abiodun Olatunji, a senior member of the Leaders’ Forum, emphasized that, “Alhaji Akintola has always prioritized peace, progress, and unity.
His guidance has been a beacon for the council, and his wisdom continues to steer us in the right direction.”
In his response, Alhaji Akintola expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, attributing all his accomplishments to the grace of Almighty Allah and the support of the people.
