“This training is to ensure that no resident is left behind. Every citizen has a right to participate in the electoral process, and our responsibility is to make it convenient, transparent, and fair for all,” Anomo said.
He further assured that his administration will continue to provide the necessary support for both the pre-registration and biometric phases.
INEC has announced that online pre-registration commenced on August 18, 2025, while in-person registration will begin on August 25, 2025, running Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM at designated centres.
The Chairman also encouraged residents to take the opportunity seriously by registering and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“I call on every eligible resident to come out en masse, register, and secure their PVCs. It is the only tool through which we can collectively shape the future of our democracy,” he added.
