An Islamic cleric, Professor Luqman Zakariyah, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a father to all Nigerians and prayed that his administration would restore hope to the less privileged in society.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the prayers were offered on Friday during the wedding Fatiha of the children of the Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, held at the National Mosque, Abuja. President Tinubu attended the ceremony as a representative of the Matawalle family.

Also present at the event was the President of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, alongside governors, federal lawmakers, members of the Federal Executive Council, service chiefs, diplomats, traditional rulers and religious leaders.
In his supplication, Professor Zakariyah prayed for President Tinubu’s good health, long life and success, expressing hope that his leadership would uplift Nigerians who feel neglected.
“We pray that Almighty Allah grants our President, who stands as a father to all the brides and grooms, sound health, long life and success. May his tenure bring hope to the hopeless,” the cleric said.

During the ceremony, Matawalle gave 5 of his daughters Maryam, Safiyya, Farida, Nana Firdausi and Aisha in marriage, while 5 of his sons Ibrahim, Abdul Jalal, Surajo, Bello and Fahadalso tied the knot.
President Tinubu formally received the brides into the Matawalle family on behalf of their parents.
The Imam also prayed for peace, harmony and success in the marriages, as well as divine blessings for the couples, their parents and grandparents as they begin a new chapter of their lives.
