The statement said, “The review, which only affects passport application fees made in Nigeria, sets new fees at N100,000 for the 32-page passport with five-year validity and N200,000 for the 64-page passport with ten-year validity.”
It was clarified that fees for Nigerians living abroad remain unchanged at $150 for the 32-page, five-year passport and $230 for the 64-page, ten-year passport.
The service explained that the adjustment aims to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian passport while ensuring it remains accessible to citizens.

This revision comes just a year after the Federal Government approved a previous increase in August 2024, which took effect on September 1, 2024.
At that time, the 32-page, five-year passport rose from N35,000 to N50,000, and the 64-page, ten-year passport increased from N70,000 to N100,000.
The Immigration Service had said the earlier increase was necessary to sustain passport quality and improve service delivery.
