India secured a 44-run victory over New Zealand in their final Champions Trophy group match, setting up a semi-final clash with Australia.
Chasing 250 on a sluggish Dubai pitch, New Zealand were dismissed for 205 as India’s spinners dominated, with Varun Chakravarthy claiming an impressive 5-42.
Despite a determined 81 from Kane Williamson, the Black Caps lost their last seven wickets for just 72 runs as the required run rate proved too steep.

India, who opted to play all their matches in Dubai instead of travelling to Pakistan, will face Steve Smith’s Australia in the first semi-final on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Zealand—already through to the knockout stage—will take on South Africa in Lahore on Wednesday.
Earlier, India struggled early at 30-3, with Glenn Phillips pulling off another stunning catch at point to dismiss Virat Kohli for 11.
