INEC National Commissioner in charge of Voter Education and Publicity, Mohammed Haruna, confirmed the development in Abuja.
He stated that as of the close of work on Monday, nine political parties had officially claimed their credentials.
The parties include Accord (A), Action Alliance (AA), African Democratic Congress (ADC), All Mechanics Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), National Democratic Party (NDP), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Haruna explained that INEC does not distribute access codes to party secretariats.
Instead, it is the sole responsibility of each political party to approach the commission for collection.

To maintain data security, any representative sent to collect the code must present an explicit letter of authorization from the party’s national leadership.
The electoral umpire urged political parties to adhere strictly to the established nomination guidelines, noting that party officials have already undergone training for the digital portal.
Haruna issued a strong warning against delaying submissions until the final hours, reminding parties that INEC has already extended the final deadline on the closing date from the close of regular business hours to midnight.
According to the official INEC timetable, the window for submitting nomination forms for presidential and National Assembly candidates runs from June 27 to July 11.
Meanwhile, the portal will open for governorship and State Assembly nominations starting July 18 through August 8.
