Prof. Amupitan reaffirmed his commitment to conducting free, fair, and credible elections that truly reflect the will of the Nigerian people.
He stated that the Commission had completed a comprehensive readiness assessment across Anambra and was fully prepared for the polls.

The INEC boss admitted that during the recent Mock Accreditation Exercise in 12 polling units across six local government areas, some network challenges were encountered with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).
However, he assured that measures had been put in place to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process.
Amupitan disclosed that results would be collated at 326 ward centres, 21 local government centres, and the State Collation Centre in Awka.

He added that INEC had extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) until Sunday, November 2, 2025, to ensure no eligible voter was disenfranchised.
The chairman also confirmed that agreements had been reached with transport unions, including NARTO, NURTW, and MUWN, for the use of 200 buses and 83 boats to move personnel and materials.

He emphasised that synergy among security agencies was crucial to ensure peaceful elections and warned that vote buying must be resisted and curtailed at all costs.
According to him, “Security agents must not allow vote buyers to operate. Together, we must protect the integrity of the electoral process and uphold the values of democracy.”
