EKO HOT BLOG reports that Albert Adeogun, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for deputy governor in the 2018 Osun State governorship election, has defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
10,423 additional members, including former PDP state chairman Wale Ojo have also joined the ruling party
The All Progressive Congress officially welcomed the defectors on Wednesday at Freedom Park in Osogbo.
Iyiola Omisore, the national secretary of the APC, congratulated the defectors on their wise choice to board the development train.
They had returned to the family that fosters an atmosphere of fairness and equality, according to Omisore, who praised their decision as honorable and considerate.
The defectors were commended by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for making the brave and decided decision to advance their political standing.
