The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, was abducted in the early hours of Friday from her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.
Reports indicate that heavily armed men stormed the home and forcibly took her away, leaving residents of the usually peaceful community in shock.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Command assured the public that efforts were in full swing to ensure her safe release and to apprehend those responsible for the crime.
“Our operatives have been deployed to secure the victim’s release and bring the perpetrators to justice,” a police spokesperson said. “We are actively gathering intelligence and working tirelessly to resolve the situation.”

The abduction has heightened fears in Arepo, a community previously noted for its relative tranquility.
Local residents have expressed their concerns about rising insecurity in the area and called on the authorities to strengthen measures to protect lives and property.
