Eko Hot Blog reports that candidates hailing from eight states, who have yet to settle their outstanding fees with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), will unfortunately not receive their 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.
This announcement was made by WAEC during a press conference held on Monday at the WAEC National Office in Yaba.
When asked about the specific states with outstanding debts, Mr. Patrick Areghan, the National Officer of WAEC, revealed, “There are approximately eight states that have outstanding debts with WAEC. While we will not disclose the entire list, it is worth noting that some states are in the process of resolving their payments.”
“Among these states, Zamfara and Niger stand out as the primary debtors. Interestingly, Zamfara did not field any candidates for this year’s WASSCE,” added Areghan.
