The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has initiated an investigation into a massive N20 billion land scam across various parts of the state.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a press briefing, the commission’s chairman, Muhuyi Magaji, announced that 15 suspects have been arrested in connection with the fraud scheme.

The arrested individuals include the Kano State High Court Registrar, three lawyers, four officials from the Ministry of Lands, a former Deputy Sheriff, and a court bailiff.

Magaji disclosed that some of the suspects had allegedly attempted to bribe operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) with N2 million, but their offer was rejected.
Magaji expressed gratitude towards the Kano State Chief Judge for their support and cooperation during the investigation.

He also thanked Governor Abba Yusuf for ordering the commission to pursue anyone involved in the scam, regardless of their position, and for promising not to spare anyone found guilty.
