EKO HOT BLOG reports that the governor made the appeal during the commissioning of key projects in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Ilupeju.
Represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu said prayers and electoral support would strengthen Tinubu’s reforms and developmental agenda.
He urged citizens to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), saying only consistent support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) would sustain the transformation underway.
“We can see the impact of APC leadership from the local government to the federal level. Let’s vote APC and keep praying for President Tinubu,” Hamzat said.
He added that Tinubu inherited a nation in financial distress but had paid off N21 trillion of “ways and means” debts, calling the move a bold step toward fiscal recovery.
According to him, despite collective pain, the president is making tough but necessary decisions to put Nigeria back on track.
He also warned of both foreign and local forces resisting Nigeria’s rise, stressing that citizens must unite behind the president’s vision for the nation and the continent.
The commissioning event also saw Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, assure Lagosians that the National Assembly would legalise the 37 LCDAs in Lagos State.
Bamidele said the Senate Committee on Constitutional Review would work closely with Lagos to ensure the LCDAs are recognised in Nigeria’s constitution.
He praised the efforts of the outgoing LCDA Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Ajala, for executing landmark projects and ending his tenure on a high note.
APC Lagos Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, also urged party loyalists to prioritise voter registration ahead of future elections.
He noted that political commitment without a PVC was ineffective and applauded Ajala’s performance in office over the past eight years.
Senator Ganiyu Solomon also lauded the council chairman for fulfilling the party’s promises, describing him as a model of grassroots development.
Ajala, in his keynote address, said his administration promised transformation and delivered. He listed newly commissioned projects as proof of commitment to community growth.
Projects include the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Legacy Building, Jide Sanwo-Olu Football Arena, a 9.2-kilometre road, 9 solar charging stations, and the donation of 13 vehicles to stakeholders.

Ajala said the infrastructure would boost internally generated revenue, improve staff productivity, and provide better living conditions for residents.
