Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo has condemned the public sharing of an indecent video involving an unruly Ibom Air passenger and supports the Airline Operators of Nigeria’s decision to ban her indefinitely.
According to a report by Eko Hot Blog, Keyamo stressed the importance of balancing the need to record evidence during in-flight incidents with respecting passengers’ dignity. He called for stricter sanctions against anyone responsible for leaking the indecent video and urged airlines to improve staff training on handling conflicts professionally.

He also highlighted the need for better cooperation among aviation and security agencies to manage similar situations effectively.
Comfort Emmanson, the passenger involved, was captured in the video in a state of undress after a confrontation with Ibom Air staff on Flight Q153 from Uyo to Lagos.
While Keyamo agreed that recording such behaviour as evidence is acceptable, he firmly condemned the public release of the footage that exposed the passenger to humiliation.
Following the incident, the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) announced a lifetime ban on Comfort Emmanson from all domestic and international flights under Nigerian jurisdiction. This strict measure aims to deter unruly behaviour and maintain safety and order on Nigerian airlines.
The Aviation Minister also promised a thorough investigation to identify and sanction the individual(s) responsible for leaking the indecent clip. He emphasized that professional conduct and respect for all passengers must be upheld to preserve human dignity.
