Labour Party Rallies The People’s Power In Quest For Election Justice

  • Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has announced his intention to challenge the results of the February 25 election in 18 states.

  • Labour Party called on Nigerians to support the party on the challenge.

  • The challenge aims to contest the declared outcomes and seek legal redress.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has announced that his party will challenge the results of the 2023 presidential election in 18 states.

Obi made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, May 31.

Obi said that the decision to challenge the results was made after a careful review of the election process. He alleged that there were widespread irregularities in the election, including vote buying, intimidation of voters, and the manipulation of results.

“We have reviewed the election process and we have come to the conclusion that there were widespread irregularities,” Obi said. “We will therefore be challenging the results of the election in 18 states.”

Obi said that the Labour Party would be filing petitions with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the courts. He called on all Nigerians to support the party’s efforts to ensure that the will of the people is upheld.

“We call on all Nigerians to support our efforts to ensure that the will of the people is upheld,” Obi said. “We will not give up until we have justice.”

The Labour Party’s decision to challenge the results of the election has been met with mixed reactions. Some Nigerians have expressed support for the party’s decision, while others have criticized it.

Those who support the party’s decision argue that it is necessary to ensure that the election was conducted fairly. They say that the irregularities that Obi has alleged must be investigated and addressed.
