- Says 2027 is not for confused coalitions
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC has cautioned opposition parties against distracting President Bola Tinubu with what it described as needless politicking and manufactured drama ahead of the 2027 elections, Eko Hot Blog reports.
Seye Oladejo, the Lagos APC spokesman, issued the warning while reacting to recent comments by the African Democratic Congress ADC, which urged former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi to clarify his position on joining a coalition.

In a statement released on Monday, Oladejo said the opposition should avoid creating political noise at a time when the country faces significant economic and security challenges.
At this critical juncture, it has become expedient to warn the opposition to stop distracting Bola Ahmed Tinubu with needless politicking and manufactured drama, he said. He added that President Tinubu remains focused on addressing national issues with courage and competence.

Oladejo argued that the ruling party has no reason to begin early electioneering, insisting that the APCs achievements in infrastructure, the economy, security, education, health, transportation and national reforms will speak for the party when the time comes.
He accused opposition parties of relying on recycled slogans and empty promises. According to him, while the opposition is locked in internal disputes, the APC is concentrating on governance, economic recovery, security stabilisation and national renewal under Tinubu’s leadership.
Let the records show it clearly, 2027 is not for confused coalitions, 2027 is not for political experiments, 2027 is for prepared leadership, he said.
Oladejo also took a swipe at Peter Obi, saying the ongoing ADC and Obi disagreements reflect deeper instability within the opposition.
He claimed Obi has adopted a political style in which he waits for distressed political parties to offer him an easy route to nomination. The spokesman described this as political lottery masquerading as strategy, suggesting the former Labour Party candidate is positioning himself for another free presidential ticket in 2027.
