According to Ogunlende, physical screening of applicants will take place from January 5 to January 9, 2026, while the main training sessions are scheduled for January 26 to January 29, 2026. The training will be conducted across the five administrative divisions of the state; Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos and Epe.
He added that a one-day leadership seminar will hold between February 3 and February 5, 2026, followed by a residential bootcamp slated for February 8 to February 14, 2026.

The programme will culminate in a closing ceremony scheduled for between February 24 and February 26, 2026.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Pharm (Mrs) Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, described the Ibile Youth Academy as one of the ministry’s flagship initiatives, designed to instil the values of volunteerism, citizenship and leadership among young people.
She noted that the programme is structured to prepare youths to assume leadership roles across various sectors, equipping them with skills and values needed to excel beyond previous generations.
According to her, the academy aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda on youth development and has consistently produced young leaders who are making positive impacts in different fields.
Oke-Osanyintolu further revealed that outstanding participants would be recognised at the end of the programme.
The overall best-performing participant will emerge as the State Youth Ambassador, while five others will be selected as Divisional Youth Ambassadors to represent the five divisions of Lagos State and implement community-based projects in their respective areas.
