In a decisive move to maintain order and security across Lagos metropolis, the Lagos State Taskforce conducted a successful operation targeting criminal hideouts and black spots in Gowon Estate and adjoining streets.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the operation resulted in the arrest of 19 individuals allegedly involved in narcotics trafficking and other criminal activities.

During the raid, taskforce officers uncovered a significant cache of illicit substances, including Colorado, Indian hemp, narcotics, and various other controlled substances.
Additionally, several bags of hard drugs were discovered hidden in the boots of cars parked within the area, further highlighting the severity of the criminal operations in the region.
Lagos State Taskforce Chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele, reiterated the agency’s unwavering dedication to eradicating criminal elements and curtailing activities that disrupt the peace and tranquility of residents.
He stated: “This operation reflects our zero-tolerance policy against illegal activities that threaten the peace and security of the state. All the suspects will face the full weight of the law as investigations continue. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to authorities using our ‘See Something, Say Something’ initiative.”
Under the steadfast leadership of CSP Adetayo Akerele, the Lagos State Taskforce remains committed to cultivating a secure environment for all citizens. In pursuit of a crime-free society, the Taskforce calls upon the public to stay vigilant and collaborate with law enforcement agencies.
