Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) and the Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) have agreed to collaborate to strengthen support for vulnerable populations, especially children with disabilities.
This was discussed during a courtesy visit by the ARFH team led by Chief of Party, Dr. Iwuala Felix, to LASODA in Alausa, Ikeja on Tuesday.

LASODA GM Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to prioritizing the welfare of persons with disabilities and its readiness to collaborate with like-minded organizations.
According to Dr. Iwuala, the ongoing ARFH Integrated Child Health and Social Services Award project across three states aims “to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS on vulnerable children and households through comprehensive interventions for ensuring health, safety, stability, and education.”
He stated: “We are here to explore possible areas of collaboration and support to ensure that vulnerable children including those with disabilities who fall within our enrollment categories are provided with quality health, education, nutrition, psychosocial support, legal protection and economic empowerment.”
ARFH Deputy Chief of Party Esther Brodric-Shehu expressed eagerness to partner with LASODA to address the crucial issues facing persons with disabilities. Other ARFH team members present included Kemi Obalisa, Olukunle Oshinowo and Gbadegesin Alawode.

The partnership will see both organizations collaborating to provide support for vulnerable populations, especially children with disabilities, in line with the government’s inclusivity agenda.
