LASURA Establishes Lagos Island Annex Office

The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) has inaugurated a new Annex Office at 44, Nnamdi Azikwe Street, Lagos Island, with the aim of fostering closer cooperation with property developers in the area and addressing pressing urban development concerns.

Eko Hot Blog reports that during the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Olajide Abiodun Babatunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on EGIS and Urban Development, emphasized that the annex office would play a crucial role in preventing government properties from falling into disrepair, promoting urban renewal, and reducing slums in Lagos Island and its surrounding areas.

According to Oladimeji, the facility will be managed by LASURA officers, is rent-free, and will not incur any additional costs for the agency or the state government.

Dignitaries present at the commissioning included representatives of the Oba of Lagos, Chief Waheed Yusuff Olorogun-Agbege, Chief Adeniji Lawal Dosunmu-Eletu Lado, top government functionaries, Directors in LASURA, Alhaji Tajudeen Olugbode, Chairman Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN).
