Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake Strikes Conchagua in El Salvador, No Injuries or Deaths Reported
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports, A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Conchagua in El Salvador on Sunday night.
The local authorities reported there were no immediate casualties or damage.
The tremor, recorded at 9:50 PM (0350 GMT Sunday), had an epicenter located 95 miles (152 kilometers) southeast of San Salvador, along the coastline.
According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at a shallow depth of just 15.4 kilometers and was also felt in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.
The National Civil Protection Agency (NCPA) said it was overseeing different areas of the country, but did not immediately report any emergency cases.
