A man identified as Favour has reportedly strangled his wife, Blessing Oghwoghwo, to death following an argument over money in the Okirigbagha area of Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident reportedly occurred after the deceased, who was said to be a provisions seller, refused to give her husband money when he demanded it.

The disagreement allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Favour reportedly beat and strangled his wife until she died.
Sources said the suspect fled the scene after realising that his wife was dead and neighbours were approaching.
He reportedly left behind the couple’s two young sons, aged five and three.
The incident has reportedly caused concern among residents of the community, with calls for the suspect to be apprehended and brought to justice.
As of the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Command had yet to officially confirm the incident.
The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, was reportedly contacted for confirmation but had not responded to messages seeking clarification.
