A thirty-one- year old man identified as Mr Francis Osakwe has been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for Kidnapping a sixty-five- year old man who happened to be his former teacher.
The suspect was arrested on his way to collect the one million ransom which was agreed by the families of the victim alongside his accomplices.

The suspect confessed to the crime saying “I went into kidnapping because I was no longer making money in yahoo, I became so broke and I met a friend who introduced me to the gang. I feel I could make much money from kidnapping if I get successful in operations.”
The State’s Public Relations Officer, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna who confirmed the incident said that the suspects will be charged to court as investigations are concluded.
