Kylian Mbappe has filed a legal complaint against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), accusing the French giants of moral harassment. The Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed to AFP on Thursday that an investigation has been opened into the allegations.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Mbappe, who captains the French national team, is also engaged in a legal battle to recover €55 million (approximately $64.4 million) in unpaid wages and bonuses he claims PSG owes him.
The dispute centres on the way Mbappe was treated at the start of the 2023-24 season. The striker alleges he was isolated from the main squad and forced to train with players the club was attempting to sell, after refusing to sign a contract extension.
Mbappe believes PSG deliberately sidelined him as a form of punishment, a controversial practice that has also affected other players and led the French players’ union to file a complaint against similar incidents last year.
He was excluded from PSG’s pre-season tour of Asia in 2023 and missed the opening match of the season. However, he was later reintegrated into the team following fresh talks with the club’s management.
Mbappe eventually completed a high-profile move to Real Madrid last summer after seven successful seasons with PSG. During his time at the club, the 26-year-old scored 256 goals in 308 appearances.
Ironically, PSG secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title last month, shortly after Mbappe’s departure.

The legal case is expected to draw significant attention as it highlights ongoing concerns about player treatment in top-level football.
