“Mexico will do everything necessary to defend, care for, and allocate what is needed to receive those who are repatriated, ensuring their smooth reintegration into their native country,” Rodríguez stated during a press conference.
Under the program, the National Migration Institute will oversee the reception of Mexican deportees, facilitate their return to their places of origin, and provide them with 2,000 pesos (approximately $100) upon arrival to cover immediate expenses.
The National Population Registry will assist with processing identity documents, ensuring deportees have the necessary paperwork to rebuild their lives.
Rodríguez noted that the program has been in development since Trump signaled plans for mass deportations.

She emphasized the government’s readiness to collaborate with international organizations, including the International Organization for Migration, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and UNICEF, to ensure comprehensive support.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum also addressed the situation, expressing her intent to reach out to Trump’s team post-inauguration.
She urged Mexican citizens living in the U.S. to remain calm, assuring them of her administration’s commitment to their welfare.
The announcement reflects Mexico’s proactive stance in preparing for potential deportation waves and highlights its emphasis on human rights and dignity for returning citizens.
