Ministry Of Health Reacts To Reports Of Paying N15,000 ‘Instant Relief Funds’

A report is making the rounds about payment of relief funds by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

The ministry debunked the report as false.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has denied a report that it is giving out N15,000 relief funds to the public.
The ministry’s denial is contained in a statement issued by its Director of Information, Patricia Deworitshe, on Saturday.

According to Deworitshe, the report emanated from an online publication.
She urged the public to beware of the information as it did not come from the Ministry of Health.
“The attention of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare has been drawn to an online publication in the media that the Ministry is giving out Fifteen thousand Naira ,(N15,000) INSTANT RELIEF FUNDS, to the public,” the message reads.
“The general public is to be informed that the Ministry is not in the process of giving such money.
“The public is to note and beware as the information is not from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.”
In October 2023, the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government declared its intention to grant N25,000 each month to 15 million households.
This initiative was set to last for three months, from October to December 2023.
