The meeting was the first physical gathering since 2019 due to the dynamics of physical interactions occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting provided a two-pronged platform to network and discussed issues that would promote the welfare of its members while also hashing out ideas on how to give back to their Alma Mater.

The meeting was slated for February 20th at the prestigious Homebase Hotel at Ijebu ode, owned by one of the members of the 69/73 Set.

The Friday, February 18th, featured the fish nite where members were treated to a sumptuous fish meal at a pool party.

The Saturday, February 19th, picked off from where Friday night ended, with a continuation of the fish nite complemented by Ifokore (notable Ijebu delicacy made from water yam) and Barbecue Nite.

On Sunday, February 20th, during the grand finale, members from all corners of the world converged to roll back the years and craft plans.

The main event featured numerous exchanges of pleasantries from friends, cronies and boon companions who have shared an unbreakable bond for the better part of half a century.

It was an opportunity to also thank God for the precious gift of life despite seeing at least 1% of the global population wiped out by a lethal global pandemic.

The meeting started with an opening prayer and singing of the school’s national anthem, followed by an intense discussion on the forthcoming project. The 50th anniversary slated for next year was part of the discussion.

Dr Wole Kukoyi, Mocosa Global President of the Group, thanked the members for their steadfast commitment to the group through thick and thin.

He charged the members to allow the love that has guided them through the years to direct their continued interaction with each other.

Alhaji Hussein, Mocosa 69/73 set President, also urged the members to continue to fan the embers of love and unity that has sustained the group through several highs and lows since graduating from the hallowed citadel of learning.

Also speaking, Otunba TJ Abass noted the importance of giving back to the institution, a tradition he believes will inspire the rest of the alumni to give back to their beloved Alma Mater.

Others who spoke were Dr Bayo Odeniyi, Bisola Ayeni, Motunde Smith and Fatai Okuneye, all of who lauded the initiative of the reunion and the It was a mixed grill of jollity and fellowship on Sunday, February 20, 2022, as lifelong friends and classmates converged during the Molusi College Old Student Association, class of 69/73 reunion to rekindle the longstanding bond within the group and engage in meaningful discussions on how to give back to an Alma Mater that has produced upstanding, contributing members of society. synergy it has engendered amongst friends, brothers and sisters.
