According to the company, the self-service model is designed to improve transparency, convenience and customer confidence by giving motorists full visibility into every stage of the fuelling process.
For decades, fuel purchases in Nigeria have largely relied on attendant-operated dispensing, a system that has often generated concerns over dispensing accuracy and transaction transparency.
Sunbeth Energies said the platform was developed in partnership with Tech Brokers Limited, a Nigerian technology company, with the solution integrating intelligent forecourt automation and secure payment systems capable of supporting multiple payment platforms.

Speaking during the unveiling, the Managing Director of Sunbeth Energies Limited, Lateef Abioye, described the launch as a major milestone for both the company and Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry.
“Today is a defining moment not only for Sunbeth Energies but also for Nigeria’s downstream petroleum industry. By launching Nigeria’s first self-service fuel station, we are introducing a new standard of transparency, convenience and customer empowerment.
“Every customer deserves to know exactly what they are paying for, and this innovation gives them that confidence,” he said.
Abioye added that the innovation was developed by Nigerian companies and represents the first phase of the company’s broader digital transformation strategy across its retail outlets.
“This is only the first step. We are committed to building intelligent, connected forecourts that combine digital payments, automation, data-driven insights and superior customer experience. Our ambition is to set a new industry standard for how energy products are delivered in Nigeria,” he said.
The Chief Executive Officer of Tech Brokers Limited, Wasiu Popoola, said the technology was designed to address the changing needs of Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector.
He commended Sunbeth Energies for embracing innovation and partnering to deliver a homegrown technological solution.
“It takes visionary leadership to embrace transformative innovation, and Sunbeth has demonstrated exactly that. Together, we have shown that world-class technology can be conceived, designed and delivered by Nigerian companies to solve Nigerian challenges,” Popoola said.
The company added that customer experience personnel have been stationed at the Ogba outlet to guide motorists through the self-service process and provide assistance where necessary.
