Iraye-Oke in Eredo LCDA, Epe, witnessed a significant health advocacy event on January 22nd, as Moulding Destiny Foundation organized a breast cancer awareness campaign to educate women about the dangers of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
Ekohotblog gathers that during the campaign, Mrs. Adejoke Adeshina, a representative of the foundation, highlighted the alarming rise in breast cancer cases, emphasizing that delayed detection remains a major contributor to its fatality.

“Breast cancer is one of the deadliest diseases women face today, and the lack of early detection is a major concern.
This campaign is aimed at educating women to prioritize regular breast screenings and their overall health,” Mrs. Adeshina said.
She assured everyone of the foundation’s mission to extend such awareness campaigns to all parts of Lagos State and beyond, while also noting their commitment to community support initiatives.
“As a foundation, we are not only focused on creating awareness but also on supporting communities by providing periodic food palliatives to ease the economic burden many people face,” she added.
The event also featured health professionals who enlightened participants on how to self-examine for lumps and other early signs of breast cancer.
Chief Shittu, a guest at the event, lauded the foundation’s efforts and urged women to heed the advice shared during the campaign.
“We need to take our health seriously. Regular breast cancer screenings can save lives, and I commend Moulding Destiny Foundation for this remarkable initiative,” Chief Shittu said.
The campaign saw active participation from women in the community, who expressed gratitude for the vital information shared.
