He noted that the community development in Epe has been tremendous over the last 25 years.
The Governor made this known at the grand finale of the 80th birthday and 25th coronation anniversary of the Oloja of Epe Land, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun.
The event, which was held at Ogunmodede Secondary School, Epe, Lagos, on Saturday, 22nd February 2025 was witnessed by High and Mighty in Lagos State and beyond.

Sanwo-Olu, who was recently awarded the best governor in Nigeria on infrastructure and projects, described the monarch as positive-minded and impactful while lauding him for the development strides Epe Division has experienced during his reign.
Governor Sanwo Olu delivered a congratulatory speech at the event, highlighting the significant achievements across all spheres of community development and citing major infrastructural developments that have evolved in Epe division in the last 25 years.
‘’ I do not think there are any local communities in Lagos State that have evolved in development like Epe has done. Do we want to talk about all the development on the Lekki axis, refinery, seaport, rice mill factory, logistics hubs, and other bigger ones that are still loading, and I pray that by the grace of God you will witness the completion of the Lekki Epe International airport.’’ He said.
’And the rapid development during your reign, we want to thank you; you created an enabling environment for development in Epe, Each time the government propose development projects in Epe, you are always in support of it, May God continue to give you peace to reign in your domain.’’ He added.

Sanwo Olu also eulogized the king for parental impact, having raised numerous offspring who are contributing to societal growth across different professional fields.
