The operation, which took place at approximately 18:50 hours on Friday, followed a period of tactical surveillance. NAF pilots trailed several insurgents moving along concealed tracks to hidden structures.
Once a positive identification was established, the aircraft engaged the targets with onboard munitions, resulting in the total destruction of the terrorist hideouts.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the force’s unwavering commitment to dismantling terrorist networks through relentless force and intelligence-driven precision.

He emphasized that the NAF would continue to scale up its operations to ensure that no insurgent enclave remains beyond the reach of the military, thereby safeguarding the nation and its citizens.
This successful air interdiction comes amidst a series of security and political developments across the country.
