Nigerian singer Naira Marley has spoken out for the first time since a Lagos Magistrate Court cleared him, along with his associate Sam Larry and Prime Boy, of any involvement in the death of fellow musician Mohbad.

Eko Hot Blog reports that on Tuesday, the court ruled that the trio had no case to answer regarding the singer’s tragic passing.

However, the court directed that the auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad, along with his friend Ayobami, would face prosecution for reckless and negligent conduct.

Following the ruling, Naira Marley took to social media to express his thoughts, sharing verses from the Quran on both Twitter and Instagram. One of the verses he posted emphasized trust in divine justice, stating: “And whoever puts all his trust in Allah, He will be enough for him. (65:3).”

Another verse he shared highlighted the belief that while people may conspire, Allah remains the ultimate planner. The verse read: “And ‘remember, O Prophet,’ when the disbelievers conspired to capture, kill, or exile you. They planned, but Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners.”

His social media posts have sparked reactions from fans and the public, with some supporting his words while others continue to question the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.

Meanwhile, discussions surrounding the late singer’s passing remain ongoing, with legal proceedings set to continue for those still facing charges.
