The Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a public warning, particularly to students, about a fraudulent message circulating online. The message falsely claims that the NELFUND Student Loan registration portal is open and provides a misleading application link.

In an official statement, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the Director of Strategic Communications at NELFUND, emphasized that the organization is not associated with the false information. Oluwatuyi urged students to remain cautious and avoid falling victim to scams. She clarified that the only official website for NELFUND student loan applications and updates is www.nelf.gov.ng.
Students and the public are advised to disregard any unauthorized links or messages requesting personal information or promising loan disbursements outside the official NELFUND platform.
