The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has issued a nationwide weather outlook for Monday, August 4, to Wednesday, August 6, predicting thunderstorms, rain, and potential flash floods across the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that for the Northern states, thunderstorms and moderate rains are expected throughout the three-day period.

On Monday, regions like Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Kano will see morning rains, with the entire region experiencing rain and thunderstorms later in the day.
However, there is a high possibility of flash floods in parts of Adamawa, Taraba, and Bauchi. Similar weather patterns with thunderstorms and moderate rains will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the flood risk remaining.
In the Central states, light rains are forecasted for parts of Benue, the FCT, Niger, Kogi, and Nasarawa on all three days, with the rains becoming more intermittent in the afternoon and evening.
For the Southern states, cloudy skies and light rain are expected on Monday and Tuesday, with a high possibility of flash floods in parts of Oyo, Ogun, Edo, and Delta. The weather will continue with cloudy skiesand intermittent light rains on Wednesday, with a high chance of floods in Bayelsa State.
NiMet has advised the public to take precautions, such as avoiding driving in heavy rain and securing loose objects to prevent accidents.
