Oba Elejinrin, Children Honour Late Queen Silifat Abisoye Balogun with Remembrance Prayer
- Oba Rafiu Balogun marked his 80th birthday and 20th coronation anniversary with a remembrance prayer for late Queen Silifat.

In commemoration of his 80th birthday and 20th coronation anniversary, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rafiu Ishola Babatunde Balogun (Ejalonibu II), the Elejinrin of Ejinrin Kingdom, alongside his children, held a special remembrance prayer to honour the life and legacy of his late wife, Queen Silifat Abisoye Balogun.
Ekohotblog gathers that the ceremony, which took place at the palace, was filled with heartfelt tributes and prayers for Queen Silifat, who was celebrated as a devoted wife, loving mother, and strong pillar of the royal family.

Her life, characterized by love, humility, and support for her family, was honoured by the royal household.
Prince Fatai Balogun, one of the children, paid tribute to his mother.
“Our mother, Queen Silifat, was a true reflection of grace and devotion.
She gave us love, guidance, and strength. Today, as we remember her 10 years of departure, we pray that her soul rests in peace and that her legacy continues to inspire us all,” he said.
The children also offered prayers for the long life and prosperity of their father, Oba Rafiu Balogun,
asking God to continue to bless him with wisdom, good health, and joy as he leads Ejinrin Kingdom.
Princess Surat Balogun added, “As we remember our beloved mother, we also honour our father, who has been our source of inspiration and leadership.
We pray for his continued good health and success, so he may continue to lead Ejinrin Kingdom with wisdom and joy.”
Oba Rafiu Balogun expressed deep gratitude for the prayers and tributes to his late wife, Queen Silifat.
“Silifat was not just my wife but my partner in everything. Her legacy lives on in all of us.

The remembrance prayer, which also included blessings from religious leaders, concluded with prayers for the prosperity of the royal family and the Ejinrin Kingdom.
