He reportedly struck Aiyepeku on the head with a blunt object, knocking him unconscious, before dismembering the body and storing the parts in a refrigerator.
The shocking event was said to have occurred on Tuesday night at an office near the Government House and GRA area of Lokoja.
Jacob was said to own a farm on the property and had lured the victim there under the guise of needing help loading a freezer into his vehicle.
Unknown to Jacob, a colleague of the victim who was present at the office at the time heard Aiyepeku’s cries for help but was unable to intervene.
Following the killing, Jacob allegedly placed the dismembered remains in his Hilux van and fled.
He later returned to the location, where he was confronted by security personnel who had been alerted. Although his vehicle’s tyres were deflated to stop him from escaping, he managed to flee on foot.

On Wednesday, the Kogi State Police Command launched a manhunt for the suspected ritual killer and urged the public to share any relevant information on his location.
By Thursday afternoon, around 2:00 p.m., police officers acting on a tip-off raided a lodge and found Jacob’s lifeless body. A bottle of Coca-Cola and a syringe were reportedly discovered nearby, suggesting he may have ingested poison to end his life.
According to sources close to the investigation, police are continuing their inquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding his death and whether he had any accomplices.
There is increasing speculation that he may not have acted alone.
