In a vibrant inauguration ceremony held at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa and Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji were officially sworn in on Monday, July 28, 2025, for a second term as Executive Chairman and Vice Chairman of the council.
Ekohotblog reports that the ceremony also marked the official proclamation and inauguration of the 10th Legislative Council, with party leaders and dignitaries from across the state and federal levels of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in attendance.

In his speech, Hon. Olowa expressed deep gratitude to the people of Ibeju-Lekki and APC leaders for their continued support.
He pledged to surpass his previous achievements, noting:
“Our first term was about laying strong foundations.
This second term is about accelerated development. We are more determined than ever to transform Ibeju-Lekki into a model council.”
Speaking at the event, Hon. Bayo Balogun, Member of the House of Representatives, stated:
“I am proud to associate with Olowa. He has consistently delivered on his promises. His leadership is a blessing to Ibeju-Lekki.”
Similarly, Hon. Mojeed Fatai commended Olowa’s first term, noting that the visible transformation across the council speaks volumes of his administrative capability and commitment to service delivery.
Also present was Mr. Saheed Ibile, a notable party stakeholder, who said:
“Chairman Olowa represents the hope and progress our party stands for. His performance is not just commendable, it’s inspiring.”
