The Executive Council of the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), under the distinguished leadership of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, has honoured Mrs Rianat Onigbanjo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (MWAPA), Lagos State, with the prestigious Ikorodu-Oga Public Service Award.
Eko Hot Blog reports the recognition was presented during a special ceremony at the iconic Ikorodu Town Hall, Owolowo, as part of the ongoing 34th Ikorodu-Oga Day Celebration held on Friday, November 14, 2025.

While presenting the award, HRM Oba Shotobi praised Mrs Onigbanjo for her exemplary leadership and service, describing her as “a shining example of integrity, dedication, and excellence in public administration.”
He noted that her work continues to positively impact Ikorodu and Lagos State at large.
The Chairman of IKODASS, Alhaji Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola, said the purpose of the award is to celebrate excellence and inspire a stronger culture of service, adding that the honour recognises individuals whose contributions demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and community development.

In her acceptance remarks, Mrs Onigbanjo expressed deep appreciation to IKODASS and the Ayangburen of Ikorodu for the honour.
She dedicated the award to hardworking public officers and reaffirmed her commitment to championing initiatives that support women, families, and communities across Lagos State.
The 2025 Ikorodu-Oga Day celebration continues to promote cultural heritage, unity, and community progress.
The ceremony was graced by Permanent Secretaries, Executive Secretaries, Directors, and traditional rulers from across Ikorodu Division, all of whom came to support the advancement and welfare of the community.
