One Dead, Another Injured in Lagos-Badagry Crash as Family Blocks Rescue Effort

- A speeding Lexus car lost control on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, killing the driver and critically injuring a passenger.

A single-vehicle crash along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway has resulted in the death of one man and left another critically injured.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Badagry Command, confirmed the incident, attributing the crash to excessive speeding.
Unit Commander Mr. Williams Manga said the command received a distress call at 8:40 pm, about 10 minutes after the accident occurred.

“Upon arrival, we discovered it was a lone accident involving a Lexus car with no registration number. The driver lost control due to speeding, causing his death, while the other occupant suffered multiple fractures and internal injuries,” Manga explained.
However, the rescue operation was delayed as the victim’s family and local youths blocked the expressway, demanding the body not be taken to the mortuary.
