Osimhen Strikes Twice as Nigeria Beat Rwanda 2-0

  • Nigeria will host Zimbabwe next week in Uyo for their next World Cup qualifier.

Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, defeated Rwanda 2-0 in Kigali in their FIFA World Cup qualifying match.

Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the first half, converting a free kick won by Ademola Lookman.

Osimhen found the back of the net again in added time at the end of the first half, completing his brace.

Rwanda scored in the second half, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Nigeria currently sits fourth in Group C of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will host Zimbabwe next week in Uyo at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
