EKO HOT BLOG reports that while Galatasaray are prepared to match Napoli’s asking price, negotiations have stalled due to the Italian club’s insistence on a 20% sell-on clause from any future resale—a condition the Turkish club deems excessive. Renowned Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu confirmed that Napoli is also demanding a rigid payment structure.
According to Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Napoli want €55 million paid upfront, with the balance €20 million guaranteed via a formal letter of credit by the end of 2026. Galatasaray’s offer, which proposed €40 million upfront and €35 million in instalments, has been flatly rejected.
Osimhen, 26, has reportedly submitted a medical certificate to skip Napoli’s pre-season under new head coach Antonio Conte, in a move seen as a clear push to return to Galatasaray. The Nigerian striker enjoyed a standout loan spell at the club, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 games.
He has also turned down a lucrative €30 million-a-year offer from Saudi side Al-Hilal, reaffirming his interest in a Galatasaray switch over a move to the Gulf.
Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian international Ademola Lookman is generating serious interest across Europe following an impressive season with Atalanta. The 27-year-old winger reported for pre-season duties amid heavy speculation linking him to Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Premier League sides.
Lookman netted 15 goals and contributed 5 assists last season, earning a place in the Serie A Team of the Season. He ranked as the league’s third-highest scorer, behind Mateo Retegui and Moise Kean.

Napoli have reportedly made a €25 million offer plus Giacomo Raspadori to Atalanta for Lookman, but the Serie A club’s €50 million valuation could complicate any deal. Transfer insider Matteo Moretto noted that Lookman prefers staying in Italy or moving to Spain, with Atletico Madrid closely monitoring the situation.
Barcelona are also exploring a potential move for Lookman after failing to land Nico Williams.
